Program 2025
8-12 years old, 13-17 years old
Surf Sail Kite Wing Camps are weekly intensive courses of windsurfing, sailing, kitesurfing and wingfoil for all skill levels for the age 8-17 years old following the programs and directives of the FIV (Italian Sailing Federation).
Participants choose one of the four sports proposed and will devote as much time as possible of the day to this with the aim of making the maximum possible progression in a week. In fact, the daily program foresees, in moments of absence of wind, unfavorable weather conditions or the need to cool down from practical activity in the water, alternative activities usually carried out in meetings and in FIV sailing schools that have training value to support the sailing sport chosen and fall within the “game of sailing” provided by the training programs of the FIV. These are both motor activities on land or in water for the development of coordination and conditional skills, and playful activities on land to enrich the theoretical knowledge of sailing. In the 25 years of Surf Camp we have carried out so far, we have included a large number of these alternative activities on the program. To name just a few, here is an example: sup, canoe, bike, relay race in the water, circuit training, orientation games, didactic treasure hunt, viewing of educational videos and activities carried out in the water, seafaring arts, dexterity workshops, game theory and many others.
SURF CAMP
The experience gained in 25 years of camp, as well as in 38 years of teaching, allows us to achieve the best results at all levels from beginner to freestyle. When the conditions allow it, the most motivated can stay in the water for up to 5 hours a day followed by our instructors.
There is no limit to progression: in the face of a clear improvement, the transition to the next level is expected.
SAIL CAMP
By focusing on sailing dinghies, thanks to the experience gained in 25 years of Sail Camp as well as in 32 years of teaching, we train technically well-prepared sailors. The use of modern boats, such as Laser Bug, Open Bic, Laser Pico, Laser Bahia, Laser Dart 16, RS Zest, RS Quest, allows a complete training from single, to double, to multihull.
KITE CAMP
The teaching activity, that last from 24 years, takes place exclusively with the support of the specific fleet of Tabo boats with launch directly from the water. Communication takes place with the use of radio transmitters.
For the best achievement of the Camp goals the minimum age required is 11 years.
WING CAMP
We have been teaching this new sport for 3 years and this year we have decided to introduce it in our Camps.
AIMS
The primary purpose of the Camp is to learn or deepen sailing sports in direct contact with nature and share the experience with others having the same sporting interests.
Paying particular attention to the goals to be reached, the staff of Tabo Surf Center is committed to ensure that each participant can:
– learn the correct techniques of windsurfing, sailing, kiting or wingfoiling
– learn to steer windsurf, kitesurf, dinghy boat or wingfoil alone
– acquire the seafaring spirit and improve aquatic skills
– know the wind and learn how to exploit it
– socialize and collaborate with course mates.
A peculiarity of our Camps (already applied to our scheduled courses) is the progression without limits: both for the beginner level and for the more experienced, the instructors do not set limits on learning, but aim to reach the best possible level by also providing the move to the next level if necessary.
LEVELS
The Camp is aimed at both total beginners and those who are already experienced.
During the day groups of students of the same level alternate in the water according to the wind conditions and according to the level of skill. The participants of the four disciplines, windsurfing, sailing, kitesurfing, wingfoiling, stay together during the activities except for the main activities in which they are divided in groups per level. The teachers are completely dedicated to a specific group.
GIOCOSPORT OF SAILING AND WINDSURFING for beginners aged 8-12 years
In line with the directives of CONI, the Italian Sailing Federation has developed a teaching method reserved for very young people to teach them the sport of sailing and windsurfing in the form of a game. Putting aside any performance claims, in this learning phase GIOCOSPORT is today the most advanced teaching method to help to acquire the correct technique while having fun and to enhance group activity. Tabo Surf Center has specialized in this for the past 24 years of Camp.
RACE TRAINING for the advanced level of windsurfing
For the guys who are already part of Tabo Techno 293 competitive team, it is possible to intensify training during the Camp.
For the guys who have the level but have never participated in the team, during the Camp it is possible to approach the world of regattas and try the youth boards of federal interest.
INTERNATIONAL CAMP
The Camps are open to Italians and foreigners. One of the aims of the International Camp is to stimulate children to use the English language and to appreciate the advantage of being able to communicate with people of different nationalities without creating didactic situations that evoke the school environment. Windsurfing, sailing, kitesurfing and wingfoiling lessons are held for Italians in Italian and for foreigners in English.
To facilitate communication in English, circumstances are created and activities are organized that require the use of a foreign language.
The camp therefore wants to be an opportunity both for exchange and for approaching English in a pleasant atmosphere, useful both for those who already speak fluent and for those who only know the basics.
THE CENTER AND THE STAFF
Tabo Surf Center specializes in water sports: Windsurfing, Sailing, Kitesurfing, Wingfoiling.
The Center has the most modern equipment, including special ones for children. The quality of teaching is guaranteed by our staff of instructors: motivated by a passion for youth activities, they specialize in teaching for the age group between 6 and 17 years. The qualifications of the two head instructors are: DEGREE IN MOTOR SCIENCES; FIV INSTRUCTORS (Italian Sailing Federation) II and III level; FIV TRAINING TEACHERS; VDWS and IKO INSTRUCTORS.
To guarantee safety, the students are followed in all activities by the technical staff and an educator who, for those who need an overnight stay, is a figure present 24 hours a day.
SAFE SPORTS AREA
Tabo Surf Center is particularly suited to youth multisport activities in the greatest safety: The building is located in an area with a generous field of 40,000 square meters on the lake with a beach and football pitch, beach-volley, basketball and tennis courts.
The lake is completely different to the typical lakeside environment: the bottom is sandy and the water shallow (1 meter) up to 60 meters from the shore, and the stretch of water where the lessons are held is surrounded by three banks. These are certainly the safest conditions for beginners and young children.
Safety in the water is guaranteed, as well as by the mandatory safety equipment, also by the presence of boats for safety.
During the day the activity will take place outdoors in the area adjacent to the Tabo Surf Center and in the waters in front of the nautical base and in case of bad weather it will continue under the terrace of the Watersports Club.
THE EQUIMPENT
Tabo Surf Center is equipped with the most modern equipment available.
– WINDSURF: 100 RRD boards and 120 RRD sails. All materials with the novelties of the brand for every level from beginner to funboard. A wide range of sails for the little ones starting from 0.8 square meters guarantees the use of equipment suitable for every need. In addition, the BIC Techno 293 boards will be used to bring participants closer to the federal youth activity.
– SAILING: our boat fleet satisfies every type of need from single, to double, to the boat for larger crews. The boats available are: Laser Bug, Open Bic, Laser Pico, Laser STD, Laser Bahia, Laser Dart 16, RS Zest, RS Quest.
– KITESURF AND WINGFOIL: the range of new RRD boards, kites and Wings, complete with all sizes, is made available to meet everyone’s needs.
– CANOE and SUP: a large fleet of single and double canoes, rigid and inflatable sup and inflatable Megasups, complete the equipment of Tabo Surf Center.
ACCOMMODATION AND MEALS
ACCOMMODATION
The 6-days courses allow two different options: only “daytime” from 9.15 to 19.15, or, for those who need it, “24H” with overnight stay in a tent from Sunday evening to Saturday morning.
The accommodation is provided in a big and solid tent for 16 pax and little single tents (when maximum capacity is reached). The solution of the big tent is really positive because has given to kids and teenagers the opportunity to socialize better, has guaranteed warm temperature during the night in the hot season and has allowed to be more in contact with the nature.
The tents will be placed in the suitable area next to Tabo Surf Center thanks to a deal with Comune di Gera.
Characteristic of the big tent:
– Strong and solid structure.
– Proper isolation from the ground and totally waterproof.
– Maximum capacity: 16 persons .
– Bed: camp bed (sleeping bed and pillow are not included; everyone has to provide his one).
MEALS
Breakfast for participants in “24H” mode will be provided by the organization and consumed at the Tabo Surf Center in a sheltered place, under the terrace.
Lunch will be consumed outdoor or under the terrace at Tabo Surf Center.
NB: Participants in “daytime” mode can choose between bringing a packed lunch from home or having lunch by the organization paying an extra amount;
participants in “24H” mode are provided with the meal by the organization.
Water will be always available for every participant that must have a personal bottle for water with his name written on it.
Dinner for participants in “24H” mode, will be served at the restaurant which will be reached by bike.
N.B: Each participant must have a bike (either personal or rented from Tabo).
The organization will have the right to change the location of the accommodation or breakfast and dinner at its discretion if it deems it necessary either before the beginning of the Camp or during the Camp.

– Each Camp is confirmed with the participation of at least 8 total members.
– Every single sporting activity is confirmed with the participation of a minimum of 3 members. In the event that an activity is not activated due to lack of the minimum number of participants provided, the camp will still be held with the right of the members to choose an alternative activity.
** TECHNO 293
It is a week reserved for the technique of conducting the regatta board of the Techno 293 youth class. Although the program is daytime only, the option can be activated with overnight accommodation upon reaching an adequate number of requests.
PROGRAM
Sunday
– Within 6.30 pm: check in at Tabo of participants who have requested overnight stay.
– 7.00 pm: presentation of the Camp to children and parents and accommodation and setting up of tents
– 8.00 pm: dinner at the restaurant
– 10.00 pm: return to the campsite, personal hygiene and overnight stay
Monday
– 8.20: breakfast for participants who have stayed overnight at the campsite
– 9.15 am: welcome at Tabo for participants who do not need an overnight stay.
– 9.30 am: Intensive Windsurfing / Sailing / Kitesurfing/Wingfoil Course begins
Friday
– 5.30 pm: for those in “daily solution reduced timetable”, end of the activities and withdrawal by the parents of participants who do not need to stay overnight.
– 7.15 pm: for those in “daily solution”, end of the activities and withdrawal by the parents of participants who do not need to stay overnight.
Saturday
– 9.00 am: final briefing also with parents and delivery of the diploma for all participants.
– 09.30 am withdrawal by the parents of the participants who needed an overnight stay.

7.15 pm Showers taking turns of the participants who have requested accommodation and withdrawal by the parents of the participants who have chosen the “intensive day course”.
8.30 pm Dinner at the restaurant reaching it by bike
10.00 pm Transfer to the campsite by bike
N.B. The timetable only gives an idea. The actual program may vary according to wind conditions and the level of the participants.
For advanced and funboard windsurfing levels, advanced sailing levels and for all kitesurfing and wingfoiling levels the times of water activities and lunch are different and depend on the wind conditions.
ADDED OPTION - E-FOIL
E-FOIL (from 12 years)
In addition to the main sport it is possible to practice Electric Hydrofoil, the best solution to learn how to manage any foil board (windsurf, kitesurf, sup, wing) by booking the extra option.
The lessons last 20 minutes each in the early morning in perfect flat water conditions.
For those who choose the Wing option, the lessons will be included in the Wing Camp.
This option is only open to participants from 12 years of age.
WHAT TO BRING
CLOTHING, EQUIPMENT AND DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
For the “24H” mode including overnight stay:
– Clothing in addition to normal seasonal and beach clothing: slippers, 2 beach towels or 1 bathrobe and a beach towel (and in addition a poncho is recommended to facilitate and speed up the change of clothes outdoors), sneakers, overalls, K -way, 1 heavy change (heavy sweatshirt, jacket), 1 backpack (for carrying daily change), at least 1 pant swimsuit for males (to wear under the wetsuit; boardshorts are only suitable when not wearing a wetsuit ), bath towels, hat (important for sailing activity) and sunglasses (at the discretion for windsurfing and kitesurfing, but important for sailing and the lesson on the ground of kiting). Everything must be contained in a bag.
– necessary for accommodation and meals: sleeping bag, pillow, camping mat, mini torch (or camping torch), water bottle with name.
For the “daytime” mode (without overnight stay):
– Clothing: Backpack with beach clothing and a change: slippers, 1 beach towel (and in addition a poncho is recommended to facilitate and speed up the change of clothes outdoors), sneakers, K-way, at least 1 swimsuit underpants for males (to wear under a wetsuit; boardshorts are only suitable when not wearing a wetsuit), hat and sunglasses (at the discretion of windsurfing and kitesurfing, but important for sailing ).
– necessary for food: Bag with packed lunch (unless who choose the lunch included) and water bottle with the name
For everyone:
– Technical clothing: for those who own them, wetsuit, harness, life jacket, shoes in a separate bag to be left at the Tabo. For those who do not have them, they are supplied by Tabo Surf Center included in the price. They will be assigned at the beginning of the course and must be returned at the end of the weekend.
– Equipment: bicycle. It is necessary for who choose the overnight option as a means of transport to reach the restaurant faster.
For those who choose the daily Camp, the lack of the bicycle penalizes the participant as he will be excluded from any excursions organized during the week and games in which it is foreseen.
NB: For those who do not own it, a limited number of bikes are available that can be rented by paying an extra price and booking it, after checking availability, at the time of registration. For those who intend to rent the bike it is essential to book it in time.
– Windsurfing and kitesurfing equipment: for those who own it, it is recommended to bring it by consulting Tabo Surf Center first.
– Miscellaneous: sunscreen, bug lotion, small umbrella, disposable tissue packs
– Mandatory documents to be sent in pdf upon settlement:
– Medical Certificate of health issued for the practice of non-competitive sports.

ADDITIONAL E-FOIL OPTION
Single lesson of 20 minutes: € 56
The fee will be paid at the end of the Camp based on the lessons taken during the week (max 3)
For those who choose Wingfoil, efoil is included in the Wing Camp fee.
BIKE RENTAL
The bike is necessary for those who need the accommodation as a means of transport to go from Tabo to the restaurant. It’s available a limited number of bikes to rent paying an extra. After booking, the confirmation of the reservation will arrive after checking the availability. If a participant of the diurnal camp has not a bike he will be excluded by the bike excursions.
1 week rental: 30€
Daily rental for those who choose the day camp, to be paid at the end of the day for the actual days of use: 5€
HOW TO REGISTER
NB: Registrations close 6 days before the start of the Camp. Those wishing to register after the deadline can participate, subject to acceptance by the organization, by paying the entire amount in a single payment by adding the increase of € 70.00.
The registration procedure includes:
1A – Sending the 2025 REGISTRATION FORM and waiting for confirmation of availability from the reception.
1B– Sending the LEVEL VERIFICATION FORM except for those who have never tried the chosen sport.
1C – Payment of € 200.00 as a deposit + memberships if not yet in order for 2025:
– 8–12 years = € 21.00 (5€ tess. CSEN + 15€ tess. FIV) (born from 2013 to 2017)
–13–17 years = € 26.00 (5€ tess. CSEN + 20€ tess. FIV) (born from 2008 to 2012)
and simultaneous sending of the copy of the payment by email to prenotazioni@tabosurf.com.
2– Online signature of various forms sent by email. (Privacy, Photo Consent, etc.)
3A– Payment of the balance no later than 6 days before the start date of the Camp, which validates the registration, and simultaneous sending of the copy of the payment by email to prenotazioni@tabosurf.com
NB: Before sending the balance, contact the reception to confirm the amount.
3B- Sending a copy of the valid medical certificate of good health by email to prenotazioni@tabosurf.com
PAYMENT METHODS
The payment of the deposit and the balance can be made by:
– Bank transfer made out to TABO SURF CENTER SSD SRL, Banca Popolare di Sondrio, Gera Lario agency, IBAN: IT 60 J 05696 51319 000002193X22.
Reason for payment of the deposit: “Surname and name, affiliation fees (only if not yet in compliance with 2025) + Deposit for Surf/Sail/Kite Camp 2025 from.. per.. + “.
Reason for payment of the balance: “Surname and name, Balance Surf/Sail/Kite Camp 2025 from.. al..”

– Direct payment on site to Tabo Surf Center SSD SRL within the terms indicated above in points 1 and 3
CANCELLATION AND REFUND
1– In the event of failure to pay the deposit or failure to send the “2025 Registration Form“, you are not entitled to the reservation.
2– In the event of cancellation by the Participant after payment of the deposit, the Participant will be entitled to a refund, with any bank charges to be borne by the Participant, in the following terms:
– 100% of the Camp fee paid if the cancellation is communicated more than 40 days before the start of the Camp.
– 50% of the Camp fee paid if the cancellation is communicated more than 30 days before the start of the Camp.
– 25% of the Camp fee paid if the cancellation is communicated more than 20 days before the start of the Camp.
– No refund will be given if the cancellation is communicated less than 20 days before the start of the Camp.
3– Cancellation is communicated by sending, within the terms provided for in the previous point, by certified e–mail to tabosurfcenterssdsrl@pec.it
4– In the event of failure to pay the balance within the deadline, the Participant will automatically lose the right to registration and the amount already paid will be retained as a penalty by Tabo Surf Center SSD SRL.
5– In the event of a balance made after the expiry of the deadline, Tabo Surf Center SSD SRL may refuse, at its sole discretion, the registration; in this case, the Participant will be entitled to a refund of only the balance amount (bank charges to be paid by the participant); There is no refund of the deposit.
6– In the event of balance paid and non–participation in the Camp, the Participant will be entitled to:
– refund of € 150.00 minus bank charges, if Tabo Surf Center SSD SRL has not found a replacement.
– refund of the amount paid in balance minus bank charges, if Tabo Surf Center SSD SRL has found a replacement participant. The possible substitute can only be accepted if chosen and approved by Tabo Surf Center SSD SRL, not by the Participant, in order to ensure homogeneity of group and level.
7- In the absence of wind or adverse weather conditions, the planned activity in the water will be replaced with preparatory activity on land. In such cases, there is no refund or recovery voucher for failure to carry out part or all of the activity in the water.
8- The Camp is confirmed with a minimum number of 8 total members. Windsurfing, sailing, kitesurfing and wingfoil activities are activated upon reaching the minimum number of 3 participants per discipline. Any enrolments in an activity that is cancelled can enrol in another confirmed activity.
9- If Tabo Surf Center for any reason is forced to cancel the Camp, the full fee paid for the Camp will be refunded.
10- Tabo Surf Center SSD SRL will have the right to change the location of the accommodation, breakfasts and dinners at its discretion if it deems it necessary both before the start of the Camp and during the Camp without any surcharge and without any refund.
RULES OF CONDUCT
1– The use of smartphones is prohibited during the week to encourage socialization among participants as much as possible. During the initial briefing on Sunday evening, the numbers to call and the times to call will be communicated.
2– Participation in the camp implies acceptance of the code of ethics and the sporting lifestyle of Tabo Surf Center. Failure to comply with the rules may result in the early end of the Camp for the incorrect participant, at the sole discretion of Tabo Surf Center and without refund of any fee paid. In order to provide an illustrative and non–exhaustive list of behaviors that violate the rules of Tabo Surf Center, we list the main ones below: removal from the group and staff without authorization, bad language, disrespectful attitude, use of smoking, use of alcohol, bullying, violent behavior, disturbance of activity and group life.
3 – The Participant declares that he/she has read the MOG (Organizational and Control Model of the Sports Club) and the Code of Conduct both for the protection of minors and for the prevention of harassment, gender-based violence and any other condition of discrimination against any person, adopted by Tabo Surf Center ssd srl in compliance with Legislative Decree no. 39/2021 art.16.
